Community Interests

With the Sun in Sagittarius, friends, groups or community interests will feature. With Venus there as well from Dec 1, there'll be social or romantic action too. One way or another, your efforts will be out there and appreciated. On Dec 2, a Full Moon in Gemini sheds light on lifestyle, romance or creative projects or ventures. Leap into the arena and enjoy feedback or responses. If you're working to a bigger plan, there'll be help or support. Structure, 'long term' thinking and experts will serve.

On Dec 5, Mercury hits Capricorn, under pressure from Pluto and Saturn. Don't be distracted by worries or fears; revise your plans by thinking pragmatically. Hold to the vision but do what you can on the day. Dec 7 will bring restriction, but also ingenious solutions or people. Sun and Uranus wrestle on Dec 14, causing a hitch or glitch with finance. Ride the waves, then set a course through your network of friends or associates with a New Moon in Sagittarius on Dec 16.

Dec 20 will bring a shake-up over money and, as Mars reverses in Leo the same day, there'll be testing circumstances thanks to the action or inaction of someone close. Work to resolve co-operation issues and take time to find your way delicately, possibly counter to the actions of a strong-willed individual. The Sun rolls into Capricorn, bringing the Solstice on Dec 21. Step back, review and reflect, or do without someone crucial to the plot. On Christmas Eve, you'll be thinking or making plans and, while there'll be strong inner urges or desires, you can only take one step at a time. Enjoy a quiet Christmas.

Venus in Capricorn, tested by Pluto and Saturn, warns you to make do with less, or deal with an absence. Simple festivities will still light up this joyous time, but be quick off the mark if arrangements need changing, as Mercury reverses in Capricorn on Dec 26. Concentration may not be on the task at hand, so don't let the turkey burn while you down the drinks. Keep a weather eye on work or health, as a Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Cancer which sees in New Year will call a change or an end in daily routines. It's happy New Year, if you keep it simple.

Mercury Retrograde

Mercury enters Capricorn on Dec 5, clashing with obstructive Pluto and stern Saturn. You'll be locked into an inner world, or worried over something that admits of no immediate solution. Let these things turn over; stay focused on the little stuff, as you'll have luck or assistance. Don't make the final decision, just set the course and see what happens. Connections at Christmas will alter your plans or turn the situation around, especially from Dec 26 when Mercury reverses. There's tension rising! A Change of Gear

You'll be with friends or groups, with Venus in Sagittarius on day one. There'll be all sorts of doings and dealings and, for some, romance will feature. You'll hit ructions or be struck by the unexpected on Dec 20, so don't fix arrangements or work on expectation. Surf the changes on Christmas Day as Venus enters Capricorn, limiting social action and causing you to step back to a private or inner world. Embrace the earthy joy that comes in the company of loved ones. The mood is intense: you may find you're thinking of someone far away, or a distant connection.

Mars Retrograde

Mars is in Leo now, so the actions, intentions, urges or desires of those close will make their presence felt. An associate will be fired up or feisty or there'll be a rival, a suitor or opponent. Dec 20 sees Mars reverse: someone close will be angry, absent, unable to move ahead or have problems with mobility. You'll have to give support, or find yourself without it. Issues with emotional transference are likely. If there's frustration with someone close, patiently address what is happening. A past matter will need attention.
