Topsy-Turvy Time

It'll be topsy-turvy, so you'll need to take things step by step to get them right. With the Sun in Sagittarius first up, the focus is on the wider world of study, travel, overseas links, or exotic dining. There's action aplenty with a Full Moon in agile Gemini on Dec 2, when news or a connection with a close associate arouses excitement or emotion. You'll uncover new contacts, close a deal, or forge a bond.

Dec 5 brings Mercury to Capricorn, when strategies, management, career or dealings with authority will feature. The talk's intense until Dec 7 and realistic decisions or agreements will set a mark. Friends or groups bring ideas or activities to stimulate, or add to the pot. Dec 14 brings stress, an unexpected twist, so stay on even keel in wild waters. A New Moon in Sagittarius on Dec 16 will stir things with a change of direction that will inspire in the end. Turn away from deception or broken promises. The big picture will alter.

Dec 20 sees Mars hit reverse and excitement or stress in the affairs of love or money. You'll find you're flagging or running behind for a time. Don't kick against the pricks or swim against the tide. Romance, recreation or creativity will hit interruption or delay.

The Solstice comes on Dec 21, bringing a mood of intensity and change, marking a beginning or an end under a cloud of inspiration or confusion with the meeting of Jupiter and Neptune. Are you shooting for the Moon or just hoping? Benign restraint will be the right mood to carry the Christmas spirit.

Mercury reverses in Capricorn on Boxing Day, Dec 26, so watch communications. The shutters will go down with love, money or the social stuff on Dec 28, as constraint or limitation takes a grip. Don't max the plastic; watch for rising frustration. Crucial choices will need a cool head. Venture into the New Year with caution on the back of a Lunar Eclipse on the Eve, affecting matters of home, family, food or children.

Mercury Retrograde

You'll test your professional mettle or your authority this month as Mercury puts you through the hoops. There'll be intense discussion or drama on Dec 5 as Mercury hits Capricorn then joins with Pluto on Dec 7. A powerful decision or turning point seems on the cards but the messenger brings inspiration, unexpected connections or a change of ideas on Dec 24 and then hits reverse on Dec 26. Step back and review, checking especially communications or arrangements. What's gone astray? Who's not talking to whom? A Wider World

Venus shifts from Scorpio to freedom loving Sagittarius on Dec 1. Reach for a wider world, take in exotic cuisine or contacts, plan to travel or study or expand your horizon. A significant bond or deal will come on Dec 4. Love or money will be topsy-turvy on Dec 20, as Venus clashes with Uranus. Ride the waves and stay calm. It's heavy duty business or responsibility from Dec 25 as Venus hits Capricorn and joins Pluto. Be strong or tough but accept the limits of what's possible. There'll be intense or dramatic people or situations to deal with.

Mars Retrograde

Mars grinds to a halt in Leo, hitting reverse on Dec 20 in your house of recreation, romance, creative projects and children. There'll be a break or a fracture in romantic relations, delays with creative activity or difficulties with a child, a male especially. If sports or vigorous activity is on the agenda, watch safety and equipment. You may find activities are subject to delay or obstruction. Watch the mood as there'll be an atmosphere of frustration or you'll struggle with your temperament when you can't get what you want or go where you want. Review your action style or approach.
