    EVASIVE AQUARIUS...

Go Back  The Oracle of Bitter Truth for May 2001   Go Forward
Greetings, airheads and bearers of the sacred water urns! Life's been a wild and exciting ride for you for some years now. Uranus, the revolutionary one that rules your sign has been riding with you since 1995, creating havoc of all kinds and changes of direction as you keep reinventing yourself for no particular reason that anyone can see, except the obvious one that you haven't got it right yet. And then, added to that, came mystic Neptune, entering your sign in 1998. The nebulous one has probably created some uncertainties with regard to identity so you may have taken to wearing absurd costumes or talking in ridiculous voices to disguise the fact that you don't really know who you are. If you've a mind to, perhaps you could become a channel and speak in a piping singsong type voice (a particularly irritating one) and claim that you're speaking the language of dolphins and that you have a message from the bottom of the sea.

Well, enough of that for the time being. The evening of April 30th, Walpurgis Eve, may have found you up on a high mountain or building somewhere, stirring the cauldron to feed the devil's revellers who've gathered on this auspicious occasion to celebrate the world of dark forces. Maybe you just went to see The Exorcist instead. So, then you bounced out of bed on May 1st to celebrate Mayday and laud the cause of the working classes against the machinery of Capitalism. Well, maybe you just slept in and grabbed a takeaway cappuccino on the way to work, discussing the relative merits of The Exorcist with some guy/girl that you met at the bus stop. Anyway, enough of your glamorous life!

The merry month of May begins with the great Sol Invicti and Mercury the messenger in the sign of Taurus and your solar fourth house, so there are bound to be irritations at home, especially with routines and responsibilities that others expect you to fulfill. However, with Venus the goddess in Aries and your solar third house, you've got plenty of friends so you could just go out and avoid that domestic crap altogether. You'll shine for the balance of the month, though with Venus coming into square with the Lunar Nodes, you'll probably spend a fortune over-indulging and have to take time off work to recover.

With giant Jupiter in Gemini and underworld Pluto in Sagittarius wrestling each other from your solar fifth to your solar eleventh houses, there'll be clashes between the party lifestyle and your social and associative obligations. With sober Saturn looming on the scene in the early degrees of Gemini, social responsibility may win and you'll become a paragon of virtue for awhile and fulfill all the obligations you generally avoid by not turning up. May 6th sees Mercury the messenger move into Gemini and cross the path of sober Saturn. You may spend some time visiting elderly people as part of your new platform of social responsibility and you may even start organizing raves and dance parties for the over seventies. However with the FULL MOON on May 7th in the sign of Scorpio and your solar tenth house, you have conflict at work with a female authority figure who practices the black arts. Sobering but you don't really believe in that stuff so you ignore her efforts to curse you.

May 12th sees Mars the warrior turn retrograde in Sagittarius and your solar eleventh house, so you find yourself becoming more committed to the idea of helping the wider community. You start up folk-dancing trance parties for refugees and immigrants unable to speak English. And, when the great Sol Invicti moves into Gemini and then makes a NEW MOON on May 23rd, you receive some kind of prestigious community service award that you leave in the taxi on the way home from the presentation ceremony because -
    • A) You got drunk.
    • B) You don't believe in that kind of stuff.
    • C) You just forgot where you left it.

Oh well! You are an airhead after all!
