Observe and Reflect

Take things quietly, observe and reflect or stay behind the scenes, as the Sun rolls through Sagittarius. On Dec 2, there's a whizz bang Full Moon in Gemini, bringing excitement and a hitch or a glitch with work or health. If someone gets out of it at the Christmas party, make an early exit. You'll have other things on your mind or other plans to make anyway. Dec 5 sees Mercury in Capricorn, pushing you to make strong decisions about what you can and can't do this Christmas. Edit the calendar or menu and proceed. Save a stream of income or a pile of money for the interesting possibilities that will emerge later on.

It's a hassle in the hustle and bustle on Dec 14, so drive carefully, stay calm and smile in the face of chaos. Dec 16 sees a New Moon in Sagittarius and you'll find you're fatigued or distracted by the workings of your inner life. Modify the demands you have to meet, or the concessions you have to make, and review. Dec 20 adds a little more excitement to the pot, but also brings a reversal or a delay with finance, as Mars hits reverse in Leo. You may not have the margins you thought, or there may be conflict over finance with a partner.

Stick with the guiding light and welcome the Solstice and the Sun to your sign on Dec 21. Happy Birthday, Capricorn! There'll be testing demands but good connections to invigorate your efforts. Not everything will go as planned on Christmas Day, as Venus hits your sign then runs into pressure from Pluto and Saturn. Responsibility or protocol will shape the effort and, as Mercury reverses in your sign on Boxing Day, scrap plan 'A' and apply plan 'B'. Be ready for disruption or a cyclical end with someone close as the turn to the New Year brings a Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Cancer. You'll want to speak your mind or react impulsively. Don't! Just enjoy the celebration.

Mercury Retrograde

You'll have plenty to say with Mercury in your sign from Dec 5 but you'll have to edit the transcript under pressure from Pluto and Saturn. Realistic discussions and decisions are in the frame and you're the Goat to make them. Communications or connections are highlighted on Christmas Eve and you can make your plans if you're prepared to cut your coat according to your cloth. However, Mercury reverses on Boxing Day, altering the immediate situation or pattern. Revise your stance, put the speedy stuff on hold and don't trip over the furniture or your words. Out There

With Venus in Sagittarius from Dec 1, you'll find you're involved with private matters or work behind the scenes. Either that or you'll just feel withdrawn from the social process and need some air. A key player may be absent. Social tension, unexpected changes or an unpredictable individual raise the stakes as Venus squares off Uranus on Dec 20. Tension over money or love could get out of hand, so maintain restraint. Venus hits your sign on Dec 25, bringing you squarely into the world of social, financial or romantic life, with set protocols to follow or limits to accept. Do the professional or responsible thing, maintaining festive decorum.

Mars Retrograde

Mars is in Leo first up and for the months to come, set to hit reverse gear on Dec 20. There'll be a 'go for it' intensity with spending or erotic life. You'll opt for the risk or the whole-hearted endeavour. However, when Mars turns tail, you'll find there's a blockage in the flow, a delay that'll affect your efforts or a shortage with the margins or limits that you need to do what you want. Review your financial endeavours and watch dealings with males, especially those who are either angry or withdrawn. Someone might not play the game, leaving you to carry the can or someone will have a hidden agenda. You might find you are too far out to sea without a paddle. Pull the horns back in and wait.
