Social Prospects

Partnership or close relations are in the frame, with the Sun in Sagittarius. Venus too will augment social or romantic prospects by moving into the sign of the Centaur on Dec 1. You will be on a high, or feeling quite emotional, as a Full Moon comes in your sign the very next day! If it gets a little wild, let the dust settle, or the airwaves cool, before you find a place with the changes. There'll certainly be a lot of talk, a lot of it larger than life. The mood changes with that, as, on Dec 5, Mercury hits Capricorn, joining Pluto and squaring Saturn. Pressing fiscal concerns emerge, or much talk with 'money' people. You'll face a demanding meeting or decision. In the big picture, you'll find advice, guidance or a good idea from someone of status, or from an unusual source.

Dec 14 brings unsettlement or unpredictable responses, but don't take things as read. Someone close will make a fresh start, or you'll form a new contact with a New Moon in Sagittarius on Dec 16. Be ready for bone-rattling encounters in the domicile on Dec 20. Not a good night for a party! As warrior Mars reverses in Leo the same day, delays, obstacles or frustration will rise to a high on the meter. Consider the considered response and be patient with what won't work; either that, or move on ahead.

A new or mystic light will call at the Solstice on Dec 21, but the focus is simply a practical one of money and the organization or schedules of finance. Don't take risks or chase rainbows, unless you're sure of the pot of gold. Good professional connections are in the frame, but the mood's intense and the fiscal demands are real. If it's all looking good to go with money, wait until Dec 26 when Mercury hits reverse in the sign of the Goat. The dotted line will bring grief if you've signed too early. Something could disappear from the pot or the budget with the Lunar Eclipse on New Year's Eve. The mood is charged for impulse or the quick response, but neither of those will do you much good. It's time for the economy version of Auld Lang Syne, at least until you know where you stand.

Mercury Retrograde

There'll be talk from someone close first up, but Dec 5 brings Mercury into Capricorn, putting the financial facts squarely on the table for discussion. A hard decision or a tough call will be on the agenda by Dec 7. A powerful, magnetic individual or situation will feature and an end will be in sight. However, don't be too quick to move. There'll be flow or good connections on Dec 24, but this will shift the mood or your thinking. Someone will take an unexpected view. Dec 26 turns Mercury in reverse, causing you to reflect or review. Close Run

Dec 1 sees Venus in Sagittarius, spicing up personal or romantic life with social occasions or new contacts. Someone close will set the pace, or lead the way. There'll be gifts or a special date on the calendar. Mix with humorous, vigorous or exotic people; foreign food or contacts will feature. Partnerships, deals or arrangements are in favour first up, but Dec 20 will spring a surprise... or an ambush! Conditions or connections will be unsettled. The Goddess enters Capricorn on Dec 25, pushing money people, agendas, or secret deals into the frame.

Mars Retrograde

Get ready for a long Martian haul as the Warrior God hits a reverse motion phase that leaves him in Leo for many months to come. Dec 20 is the backward date. Service the car, upgrade the software on the PC or laptop, and charge the phone. Devices for communications or travel will be under scrutiny and need maintenance. Don't let feistiness infect dealings with siblings or neighbours, and watch the temperature on the road, whether as a driver or as a pedestrian.
