Mars Fires Up

You're in for a boost in October as Mercury moves forwards, clarifying a money matter; Mars rolls into your sign, firing you up; and Saturn remoulds the business of communications and travel. A fiery Full Moon in Aries kicks off proceedings on Oct 4; travel, study and exotic companions or food will be in the frame. Be ready for excitement or strong feelings over ideas or beliefs, with a bit of dance or music thrown in. Watch expenses, as something unexpected may bite. An uneasy feel emerges in close relations after that and resources or dollars will be a concern, requiring straight talk or strong decisions on Oct 7. Go into action. It'll be hard to hold onto something or someone on Oct 9. Anger or desire will turn a situation awry. Don't give your trust too easily and deal with the past. 'Out of character' behaviour or unexpected events will colour things.

Mercury rolls into Libra in a square with Pluto on Oct 10, bringing the test of clashes or negotiations. A work or health matter will leave no room to move. Make a beginning or an end! An uncompromising figure will test you but there'll be a lift or quantum leap with travel, communications or information, as someone close brings luck or opportunity. Build slowly on plans for financial change. Don't show your hand too early and don't let yourself down with a familiar failing. Oct 13 will bring restriction or delay but, as Jupiter goes direct, someone close will be on the rise. Venus slips across the border to Libra on Oct 14. You'll socialize for work, deal with the public or play 'agony aunt', but first, as the goddess squares Pluto, there'll be drama in love, money or business. Keep your head while all around you are losing theirs, as you pass a crunching test or navigate tough climes.

A lift will come as Mars hits your sign on Oct 16 while a New Moon in Libra will see a new development or deal, one that will bring a break with the past. Home's in focus as the Sun rolls into Scorpio on Oct 23 and there'll be altered routines or a new way of working. Social or romantic life will lift through contact but Saturn will set the seal on a new era in travel, communications or education as he turns the page to Libra on Oct 30. Try a new mask on the Halloween streets.

Shifting Focus

Mercury, charged by Mars, gathers speed in Virgo. Do it by 'dollars and sense', not wasting time, effort or money on pipe dreams. Be simple and get good fiscal results. A changing climate is followed by strong talk and stronger decisions so put good practice in place by mid month. Mercury hits Libra on Oct 10 but the air will be colourful with language or testing by circumstance. Take care in traffic and be strategic in dealings. Avoid accident and argument. Hard work pays dividends through opportunity or luck on Oct 20 then home or family features as Mercury hits Scorpio, forging powerful links or bringing potent deals or communications.

Out There

At the start, talk money, be practical with spending and keep the routines that will serve the simple god with neither waste nor extravagance, as you click the abacus of Venus in Virgo! Oct 14 sees sweet Venus glide into Libra, hard-pressed by Pluto. You'll be under pressure in love or money or you'll deal with those who are. Don't get swept away by the drama and tip the scales til you get the balance right. Luck comes to survivors through good connections.

A Better Pace

Mars starts in Cancer, urging caution and an eye to the road ahead or the consequences. Watch for hidden enemies or obstacles and your own missteps. Avoid secret activity, but deal with past issues that require remedy on Oct 9. Lay a foundation till the mid month, especially where financial life or money is concerned. Oct 16 will lift the mood and buoy you up as the warrior god rolls into your sign. Shake the mane at the world and be the cat that's ready for the cream. New activities are favoured and the erotic meter is high. Avoid cat spats.
