Communication Focus

With the Sun in Sagittarius, it's time to focus on communication, dealings with siblings, neighbours or associates, and travel. With Venus there as well from Dec 1, social or romantic engagements will feature, plus talk or concern over money. A blazing Full Moon in Gemini on Dec 2, promises that the airwaves will be alive with communications, especially with overseas links, study or legal concerns. In-laws will feature, or you will deal with excitable people, especially from overseas. Try something different with exotic dining. Arrangements or deals are favoured by Venus and Saturn on Dec 4, but Mercury will test the waters at home on Dec 5 as he rolls into Capricorn, joining Pluto but squaring Saturn in your sign. You'll be under pressure in home or family life. You might find that a dream is out of reach.

Let things roll along, but watch Dec 14 when daily life or the routines of work or health will take a hit with excitement or unexpected disruption. Let the dust settle, then follow a new line of communication from Dec 16, with the New Moon in Sagittarius. Opt for vision and don't be bound by detail. Social or fiscal dealings will be disrupted on Dec 20, especially if home or family matters are involved. The same day, Mars reverses in Leo, creating difficulties, breaks or delays involving friends or groups. Don't push a pet project and wait for situations to recharge. You will deal with an angry or difficult person socially.

You're searching for a guiding light on Dec 21, but the Sun enters Capricorn, bringing the Solstice and the focus to home or family matters. Prepare for talk and intense feelings or dramas, especially as Venus hits the sign of the Goat on Christmas Day. Let the mood of love or money find its necessary level and respond with caution and reserve. It'll be a joyful celebration if all involved respect the mood. Mercury reverses in Capricorn on Boxing Day so communications or arrangements for the festivities will need to be flexible, to say the least. The feelings or situation of someone close will need attention. New Years Eve brings a Full Moon and a Lunar Eclipse, ending a cycle of responsibility or professional involvement.

Mercury Retrograde

Mercury hits Capricorn on Dec 5, focusing on communications or arrangements in the home. Check the wiring on the Christmas lights and make sure you e-mail all invitations in advance. Be realistic with the plans and possibilities, saving grand sparkling designs for the Christmas wrapping or the tree. Christmas Eve will open a line of communications that will produce a turnaround as Mercury reverses on Dec 26. Inward Looking

Venus in Sagittarius from Dec one spirals you out there into the world, making connections or keeping appointments. There'll be a mix of business and pleasure and at least one Christmas function you'll wish you hadn't attended, probably on Dec 20. On Christmas Day itself, the mood turns inwards as Venus slips into Capricorn and home or family matters are right in the frame. If there's a skeleton in the closet or a long held grievance, lay your cards right on the Christmas table. Otherwise, take a conservative approach and avoid any dramas. This is a time to really appreciate the milestones that you and your family or loved ones have passed.

Mars Retrograde

Activities with groups or friends are in the frame as Mars rolls through Leo, but, as the Warrior reverses on Dec 20, prepare for a break in the chain or a delay. A feisty male will be disruptive, or a greater need will call the tune. You might have to give up a personal interest to serve the community or your wider interest somehow. Review what you're involved in and what you like to do, then use the hiatus to give some thought to what's next in social life and personal involvement.
