Personal Resources

With the Sun in Sagittarius, focus on money, personal resources and spending. With Venus in the sign of the Centaur as well from Dec 1, there'll be purchases or social dealings over money. Dec 2 brings a Full Moon in Gemini, bringing revelations or vivid discussions about the fiscal ins and outs, and credit or major obligations will feature. Do the sums and assess where you stand. Expect some excitement or upset as you deal with someone in the financial game. Employ 'placatory' technique in tricky situations, and bring step by step solutions to any problem. You've got the time!

Communications or travel will be in the frame as Mercury hits Capricorn on Dec 5. There'll be talk with intense or powerful people, or even the odd drama. Restrictions or delays won't yield to pressure, so be patient. The end of the first week will set the pattern, then you'll find yourself heading through some waves or unexpected changes on Dec 14. Don't miss a bill and watch for the accidental expense.

Give new shape to your financial practices with a New Moon in Sagittarius on Dec 16. What you want is vision and direction, not just management. Once again, there'll be ructions or the unexpected on Dec 20, so don't overestimate purchasing power. The same day, Mars hits reverse in Leo, bringing setbacks or delays that affect responsibility or career. You'll find you have a rival, or you're bearing a heavy load. Work patiently towards an outcome.

Dec 21 brings the Solstice and the Sun to Capricorn, focusing on travel and communications. Useful connections come in the wake of this, but they'll come under pressure. It's all in the public arena from Christmas Day, and you'll have to deal with the outer world and its needs, perhaps putting your own aside. Dec 25 will need flexibility and an acceptance as Mercury reverses on Dec 26. Nothing will go according to plan, so don't plan too much; enjoy the moment. Don't move at high speed on New Year's Eve. A Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse seeing in the New Year will bring change or an ending in the cycle of communications and contacts.

Mercury Retrograde

Mercury hits Capricorn on Dec 5, bringing delay or restriction and testing decision-making powers. Business matters will feature, as will intense or strong people. Do what's possible, but don't up the ante to get what you want. Remember too, the picture will alter on Dec 26 as Mercury reverses, bringing problems or delays with travel or communications. You'll get mixed messages, or give them, or just get the wrong info. If you're invited for Christmas lunch, don't arrive when they're serving pudding. Making It Work

Venus in Sagittarius from Dec 1 puts the focus on money, especially personal spending and management. Get vision into the mix, but watch for the unexpected or wild impulse on Dec 20. Restraint will be the better path. You'll argue with someone upset about money. Venus slips into Capricorn on Dec 25, tested by Pluto and Saturn. Work or communication demands will set their mark on the calendar and you'll just have to measure up. Key absences and a bit of drama are in the mix. Maintain the legendary cool and have a good Yule!

Mars Retrograde

Mars is in Leo, now and for months to come. However, the warrior god will hit reverse on Dec 20, bringing a shakeup with duties, delays with career, frustration with professional matters or encounters with testy males or testing tasks. You'll find you're back in the saddle with past responsibilities, or just backpedalling. You may have a rival or an opponent in a professional sense, or there'll be demanding physical tasks or labours to complete. Frustration will be the name of the game, but if you drop a gear and revise your action style or approach, you'll work through a hiatus or overcome obstacles.
