Neptune Retrograde

Neptune went retrograde in Aquarius in early May (02 Aquarius 10) and goes back into Capricorn on August 23. It goes direct on October 12 (at 29 Capricorn 23) and the cycle is complete by the end of January 1999. Neptune stands for deception, self-deception and illusion. It governs the dissolution of boundaries and can be the significator of spiritual enlightenment. The Capricorn period ends late November, signing off with the Leonid Comet meteor shower and closing a stressful cycle that began way back in 1984.

Neptune moving direct first opposed Kenneth Starr's Sun/Saturn on January 11. Linda Tripp then contacted Starr about the 'Lewinski tapes', making Monica Lewinski a major figure in the special prosecutor's investigation.

At its October station, Neptune makes a final opposition to Starr's Sun/Saturn (September 19 to November 2). Starr's report will therefore have a profound influence on the outcome of the mid-term Congressional elections, for the aspect also indicates the House Judiciary Committee will announce its intentions to proceed or not with impeachment before the House goes into recess by the end of September or early October.
