Pluto Retrograde

Pluto went retrograde at 08 Sagittarius 04 on March 13, 1998. It was stationary at 05 Sagittarius 18 from August 7 to 24 before moving direct. This cycle closes in early December 1998. Pluto stands for transformation, profound realignment and revelation of hidden things, especially during its stationary periods. Note that two eclipses occurred during Pluto's August station - a Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius on the 8th, and a Solar Eclipse in Leo on the 22nd (see below).

Although Pluto made no aspects to the major players' charts at its August station, all of the grand jury testimony was gathered and significant hidden facts were revealed over this important period.

Pluto moving direct first made a sextile to Clinton's natal Mars/Neptune (07 Libra 20) from January 10 to 28. A possible interpretation of Mars conjunct Neptune in a natal chart is a propensity for sexual (Mars) deception (Neptune), or a strong erotic imagination. This was a period of intense damage control for Clinton: he was questioned by lawyers acting for Paula Jones (January 17); the Lewinski story broke in the media (January 21); he made the statement: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman...I never told anyone to lie. These allegations are false." (January 26); and Starr opened his grand jury inquiry into the Lewinski affair (January 27).

Pluto makes this aspect again from November 8 to 21. If there is to be an impeachment trial on these matters, this is a likely time for it to be set in motion.
