Paths of Expansion

Jupiter calls you on the paths of expansion. It's a year to learn, grow and alter personal horizons. Saturn urges you towards professional achievement or an increase of status or responsibility. However, one may pull against the other and a partner or close associate may somehow complicate matters further. With the Sun in Aquarius, focus on domestic and emotional life. If you can sort out the confusion or uncertainty there, you can find the way forward.

Has your confidence taken a knock? Are you unsure about what you actually want? Is there mistrust or fear in some dark corner within you? After all, you're the private investigator with the keys to the underworld. Step fearlessly within and ascertain the truth. Contacts may blossom early on. There are opportunities for new connections to form or older ones to flourish. Have a look at where you are by the Full Moon in Leo on Feb 13th. Take stock with regard to your status and your achievements. You may have to deal with a proud or stubborn female, one in a position of authority. There are new schemes and dreams all around you for the making if you just have the courage to trust your own imagination. Examine your relations with authority figures, both specifically and in general.

There's a call to get down to business as new ideas take hold and new action is needed to advance your situation. The Sun enters Pisces on Feb 18th, setting you on course for the life you want. However, you will need to watch and listen for a time as the ground is set to shift beneath your feet. It won't shift a lot, unless you've put a lot at risk. As a New Moon comes in Pisces on Feb 28th, it's a time for vision rather than laying things on the line.

Inward then Outward

With Mercury in Aquarius as the month begins, it's time for the inward look as you attend to matters of domestic and emotional life. This could be anything from jobs around the house to a 'heart to heart' with loved ones. The busy messenger moves to Pisces on Feb 9th. The focus changes to romance, children and the schemes, dreams and activities that make life worthwhile. Get focused on something you can get your teeth into. Send out messages or speculative lines then wait to see what you catch. Imagine but don't act yet.

In the World

Venus the goddess moves forward on Feb 3rd but remains in Capricorn for the balance of the month. The emphasis is on meetings, communications and associates. Someone that has been using you as an agony aunt may finally get sorted. You may finish a process or a business deal that has been taking it's own sweet time. You may emerge from a slightly reclusive inner world and get back into the swing of things. If there have been dealings with a sibling or neighbour, they will reach an end. Gifts or contacts come in the first week.

Powerful Encounters

If the world has been full of stroppy partners or associates, steamy but prickly romance or opposition from rivals, you can blame it on Mars in Taurus, his retrograde cycle and his clashes with his fellow cosmic travellers. The good news is that it's all about to end. The slightly less good news is that it's not over yet. Mars returns to his retrograde point on Feb 4th. Watch for eruptions with partners or close associates. A cycle may return to be completed. Make crucial choices about close relations on Feb 8th. Mars moves to Gemini on Feb 17th. You'll be passionate. You'll have a strong competitive instinct. Don't overdo it.
