Expansive Cycle

Happy New Year, Scorpio! You're in an expansive cycle with Jupiter in your sign. Others may make demands, as Mars powers through your house of partnership. Saturn calls you to a test of authority or responsibility while Neptune urges deep and abiding inner change. The Grand Cross of Dec casts a shadow in Jan, urging you to keep the balance with all of these differing arms of your life.

As the month begins, the Sun moves in Capricorn and your solar third house. The focus is on communications, travel, siblings and neighbours. The Full Moon in Cancer on Jan 14th brings to light changes and new possibilities. It may also bring an old contact back into your purview. New ideas or developments begin to take shape. Communications or news will set the ball rolling. You may have to make a crucial choice that will somehow affect your career or dealings with those in authority. Once you step forward, a door will close behind you.

There may be tests or tensions, mid month. You will be asked for fine judgement. You may have to take action or decisions that will affect home, family, career or those close to you. Set a direction and make it clear to all of those you have to deal with. The Sun moves to Aquarius on Jan 20th, bringing focus onto issues of home, family and domestic life. A New Moon that falls in this sector on Jan 29th urges you to set a new pattern with living circumstances. You may seek different things emotionally. You may have to take into account unexpected developments with those close to you.

Mercury the messenger moves to Capricorn on Jan 3rd, opening up avid discussion with new schemes and ideas. You'll be busy and need to keep up with the play. Contact with neighbours or siblings will feature, as will short distance travel. There are exciting ideas or developments in the second week. It's not often you play the 'agony aunt' but Jan may bring that role to your doorstep. You may need to review those involved in business dealings and reconfigure a situation.
