White-capped Waves...
In the second part of this illuminating article, Malvin Artley looks at the action of the planet Uranus in trms of the realms of intuition, the higher planes and the keys to healing. There is a very close resonance between ether and intuition. As was stated in the first part of this missive, air is associated with the intuition. So, from the standpoint of correspondences and resonance, anything that happens within a person at intuitive levels is also reflected in the etheric body of a person. One of the great keys to all healing lies in the recognition of this and in the fact that all changes in the dense body that we know are preceded by corresponding change in the etheric body, which some people call the health aura. Illness is MisalignmentAll illness is said to be a result of the misalignment between the Soul and the lower bodies. These clues also give an indication as to why the process of magic seems so miraculous - because the biggest bulk of magical work takes place at etheric levels prior to precipitating out into dense form. Hence, we do not see it until the work is very nearly done, as it is already happening at an accelerated pace and automatically by that point. In point of fact, Uranus acts neither suddenly nor unexpectedly. It only seems so because we cannot see what is happening upon the inner planes. The action of Uranus is always within the Law, is ordered, steady and well-planned from higher levels of Being. There is nothing haphazard or odd about it, seen from the higher perspective. All we have to do is to raise our vibration high enough to be able to perceive what is happening. Just as the electric fire of lightning may seem to come out of nowhere and to strike haphazardly, so the Fire Electric of the Spirit can seem as well. But, lightning can only strike when conditions are right, when there is enough accumulated charge and when the requisite "feeler" or pilot charge is sent up from the ground. If we could see electric charge in action, all mystery about and fear of lightning would be removed, because we could then see where the lightning would most likely strike. Nature is ever law-abiding. Uranus, the Flash of InsightLittle as we might realize it, every time we seek a higher perspective or seek to live the higher Life, perform a selfless act of Goodwill, think of others before ourselves and promote the greatest Good we accumulate a spiritual charge and invite - even invoke - Uranus into our lives. Uranus is the flash of insight when we have meditated long and hard on a thing and set up the proper conditions for its coming. It is the sudden (to us) removal of an obstacle to our spiritual growth when we are ready to move forward, often unbeknown to us. It is the establishment of a new order to our lives for which we have so long sought, sometimes having its roots far back in the mists of forgotten lifetimes. It is the magic that happens when two or more souls come together in united purpose for the work of making the Word flesh. It is the breath of new Life and vitality which always comes after the old has been wiped away and redeemed and the new has been established. The truth and force of Uranus is only known and properly utilized by the higher Self. Only by a constant daily and cyclic renewal of our connection with that higher Self will we begin to move through the bestowals of Uranus without fear and unscathed. When the movement of the intuition ceases to drive the reasoning mind into a tempestuous wind and that mind begins to move in concert with it, then one is ready to utilize the energies of Uranus to positive effect in the personal worlds. Abruptness then becomes piercing insight. Quirkiness becomes the dash of useful originality. Eccentricity becomes the flash of creative genius. Fluctuation and erratic behavior become steady and persistent work for change within society. Freedom at all costs becomes freedom for the benefit of all. A New PhaseSo, for all those people who are in the grips of a sudden change of some sort in their lives, what is actually behind it is this very urge toward better conditions in one's own life and the lives of those around them, for this sort of thing is never just about one's self. Uranus only ever works with groups. If we seem to be the only one affected, then we can be fairly certain that we have somehow cut ourselves off from the greater group dynamic and that we need to somehow reorganize our thinking and/or action along some line, whatever that group might be - family, friends, community, etc. In the eclipse of the 24th we have seen that the Sun and Moon were squared to Uranus. The Sun represents the personal ego and the present task at hand, whereas the Moon represents the body nature and one's past. The square indicates a dynamic point of tension between the two, certain choices to be made and material changes around the facets of life indicated by the planets involved. There is something new in the air. All I can indicate to you is that if something has ended suddenly around the time of this eclipse and/or conditions have made a dramatic shift, then be thankful for the gift you are being given and look forward with excitement and rededication to the new phase of life you have just entered - and don't look back!--except to tidy up loose ends. This new phase started just past the commencement of the Sagittarius phase of the year, which is well-known in esoteric circles as the sign of one-pointed discipleship. Whereas the eclipse of the Scorpio full moon conveyed "The Light of Day" and carried the note of ascension with it, the sign Sagittarius conveys Light in the form of "A directed, focused beam of Light." This reveals a greater Light ahead and leads toward the center of one's Being. So, what was garnished from the full moon of Scorpio, which marks the high point of that sign, is being redirected and brought to a point of focus in Sagittarius. Hence, the symbolism for the degree of the eclipse of the 24th and the Square of that eclipse to Uranus adds more weight to a consideration of this period of Sagittarius. The stormy seas brought about for some people from the last eclipse and the bringing in of a new order via Uranus highlight the work of this most energetic and potent of signs for those upon the spiritual Path.
