Virgo, the Virgin
Saturn entering Virgo on the 1st house cusp has a lot of issues. The most important issue is the start of a whole new Saturn transit through the chart. It is a beginning that leaves the last 28 years behind, so if you can think back that far, you may get some idea of what is in store. Saturn in the 1st house is all about redefining how you appear to the outside world, even your physical appearance and how people perceive you. Saturn will take on the traits of Virgo for the next 2½ years. You'll have your own yardstick that measures everything by discriminating, discerning, judging, and weighing for the sake of some value system only known to you. Planets in your 1st house indicate new beginnings. This is your opportunity to reinvent yourself.
The transit of Mars happens at the same time for everyone. However, it affects us differently due to the house placement of Mars and then according to the natal planets involved. Mars is in your mid-heaven (the 10th house of public image; career; long-range goals) and the dates for the Mars action for you are:
- Mars enters Gemini on August 7th, 2007
- and continues in forward motion into Cancer (September 28th, 2007)
- until November 15, 2007 when it reaches its retrograde station, turning retrograde in Cancer at 12 degrees.
- On November 15th, 2008 things may start to look as if they are not working as you expected. This is the point where natal planets come very much into play.
- Retrograde Mars re-enters Gemini on New Year's Eve and goes all the way back to where it was on September 17th, 2007, reaching its direct station in the 25th degree of Gemini.
This is an indication of change. Any time Mars enters a sign; it takes on the qualities of that sign and offers another path or opportunity for you. If you take notes on or around September 17th, you will have an indication of what those changes might be. Gemini on the 10th house will indicate that you are redefining your career. I always think of labels when I think of the 10th house. You may be adding a new label to your repertoire. Changes in this area are imminent. Look for changes in this area (direct Mars), followed by modification (retrograde Mars) and finally, resolve (direct Mars).
The Full Moon Eclipse (Aug. 28, 2007) at 4°46' of Pisces will occur in your 7th house of partnerships (personal or business or marital). Remember, if this Full Moon falls on a natal planet in your chart, this will give you added information about the ending.
The New Moon Eclipse (September 11, 2007) at 18°25' Virgo occurs in your 1st house and has everything to do with new beginnings. It also signals something that is in your face at this time. It's all about the new you, what you want for yourself and how to get it. There will be some underlying anxiety – but, honestly, isn't that how you know you're really breathing?
