| 2004. Chinese Year of the Wood Monkey [part two]![]() Each year there are certain numbers that bring bad luck and illness in Feng Shui and others that bring good luck and success. In 2004 the difficult numbers 5 and 2 will move so that the 5 falls into the centre of your house or office and the number 2 will fall into the SouthWest corner of your building. The way to handle these numbers is to use a metal fixture such as a bell, metal mobile or windchimes in the affected sector. Hang your metal bell in the centre of the house to counter the number 5, an Earth number. It needn't be a large bell, just enough to do a balance. In the SouthWest corner the 'cure' is to hang six coins tied together with ribbon. If you have a bedroom, office or front door in the SW or centre, its important to make those adjustments. The positive numbers 8 and 9 will fall respectively into the NorthEast and the South sectors of your house. If you have an office or an entrance there then you can expect some help and good fortune this year. make sure no clutter accumulates there. The other thing to look for is what's called the 'Grand Duke'. He's a manifestation of the year's predominant energy coming towards your house from the Monkey's compass direction, WestSouWest. avoid facing that way this year, so reorient your office desk if its SW facing. Also avoid renovating in the SW or digging up the ground in your SW garden corner. If your front door is in the SW try placing a small concave BaGua mirror above the door (not on it) to assist you to counter the Grand Duke energies in 2004. YOUR YEAR'S FORTUNEHow are each of the twelve zodiac animals going to fare during the Monkey year? There are several signs that benefit immediately from the Monkey year and they are the ones in an harmonious angle in the 360 degree circle of animals - the Rat , Dragon and Snake. There is one animal directly across the zodiac from Monkey, the Tiger, who can have a bad time in 2004. Lets look one by one. RAT: Your career can do well this year and its likely that if you have some projects on the go that this will be the year they are successful. Money is likely to be in a good flowing mood and being focussed is where you will make the most of it. OX: This may not be the best year for you but it is going to be okay if you use determination and hard work. You won't see the results of your labours this year, but more likely in 2005. Be discriminating with those that you mix with. TIGER: Because the Tiger is directly opposite the Monkey it may not be your year. Expect to have interruptions to your work from time to time. It could be a year of stops and starts. Be careful of your finances and don't over extend yourself. RABBIT: Don't let this be a year when worry takes you over. Be happily employed by finding some sport or hobby that will keep you occupied. Take your time to do things and hold back lest you rush in and give too much away. DRAGON: This is going to be a very good year for you and others will be looking to your skills and expertise. Your work and money and relationships all look good. Pay attention to your spiritual needs as well, because this can also bring you further benefits. SNAKE: The year for you will also benefit from Monkey with your productivity being good and a prosperous streak for you, as long as you look after your money and are cautious with investments. Pay attention to the details off every little thing you do this year. HORSE: There are some areas where you could be caught up this year with problems. Take care of your relationships and look at how you're showing an example to others. You may find travel on your agenda and if you are restless with the year, then you could find yourself changing jobs, regions or even countries. SHEEP: You've just come out of a year that has helped you, when things have gone pretty well for you. This year can bring you some more of the same if you put others first. If people call on you for help don't ignore them. Move back if people try to take over what you are doing, don't fight. MONKEY: Your year, but it comes at a price. Monkeys are tricky and this year could trip you up. Don't allow praise to go to your head. Monkeys tend to like playing around and if that is what you do this year then it will not be to your benefit. Turn your focus to what is important for you and work with it. ROOSTER: The following year is yours so what you plan and work with this year will pay off for you in 2005. You may find yourself being called upon to help out with others' projects and its good for you to do so as it will put you up there in others' esteem. You will get support when it counts. DOG: This could be a year when you do some reappraising of your career. Its a good year to reevaluate and take another direction if that's what you decide. Pay attention to all the details you need to fill in and things will go okay. Restlessness or travel may be important to you this year. PIG: You generally like to enjoy yourself and have a good time doing the things you savour in the material stakes. This year you will have to pay attention to all the things going on around you as its time for some evaluations. Keep track of your diary and write everything down. Details will be important for you. Good luck in this unpredictable and full on Monkey year.
