Negotiate in the Open

Home and family are in focus with the Sun in Taurus at the start, but Mercury plays the trickster as he slips into Gemini on May 2nd then clashes with Saturn in Virgo. Prepare for a delay or separation with romance and don't argue over money with a loved one. Negotiate! Lifestyle costs will grow if you don't check what you're doing. Be cautious with cash but even more so with credit. You'll clash or disagree with a fiscal adviser. Dealings with a child may require the intervention of someone in authority.

May 5th brings a New Moon in Taurus and a new start with family or household matters. Maintain a simple range of concerns. As mystic Neptune joins the Lunar North Node on May 10th, you'll be drawn to artistic or sensitive people or pursuits. You'll feel confusion over where you're going or what you're doing. If you feel blocked or uncertain about moving forward on an inner level, it's thanks to Jupiter turning retrograde in Capricorn on May 9th. May 9th also sees Mars in Leo, bringing feistiness, competitiveness or an erotic charge from someone close. You'll be standing in the crossed hairs of love or rivalry. Home or family life will be tense or uncertain, mid month. Your judgement in love or money not be reliable. Don't get involved in anything extravagant or secretive. Explore a delicious fantasy with your loved one.

May 20th brings a Full Moon in Scorpio, focusing on professional or career concerns. New duties or an upward surge is in the wind. You'll deal with intense or excitable people. May 20th also sees the Sun in Gemini, focusing on lifestyle, romance and recreation. There will be restriction or constraint financially as the Sun clashes with Saturn on May 22nd. With Venus following suit on May 24th and 26th, the atmosphere with love or money will be stretched on piano wire, or you'll be suffering solitude or delay. It's a whizz-bang end to the month and once again finance is in the frame. Expect confusion.

Mercury Retrograde

Mercury rolls into Gemini on May 2nd then clashes with Saturn. Delays, lost links or difficult people will feature. Money and lifestyle will be the topics of discussion. Be effective. May 24th sees Mercury clash with Uranus in Pisces then turn retrograde on May 26th. You'll hit a hitch or a glitch with spending. Romance or recreation will be at the core of it, but past action will hold the answers. Undo problems you've created yourself and accept the current constraint. Confusion or misunderstanding will reign where communication is concerned, so be thorough and patient.

Taking it slowly

Venus in Taurus brings guests, purchases or social occasions at home. Simple and practical is best. You'll hit a period of confusion or uncertainty, mid-month. Don't make errors of the judgement on impulse, especially with love or money and avoid financial decisions on May 18th. May 24th sees Venus in Gemini, focusing on romance, recreation and lifestyle. However, as the goddess clashes with Saturn on May 26th, there will be fiscal constraint, a break or separation in love, or delays with the wherewithal for new ventures or recreation.

Coming Back at You

Mars rolls into Leo on May 9th, firing up activity in your house of partnership. Your loved one may be feisty, hot to trot, or heading down a new path. A competitor, a rival or a suitor is in the frame. Someone close will want something from you and won't be afraid to push to get it. Expect a clash with someone stubborn or determined. You may engage with someone creative or artistic. Let your loved one set the pace or lead the way. Don't fight it.
