Romance and Recreation

With the Sun in Sagittarius, lifestyle, romance and recreation are in the frame and, as Dec 1 puts Venus the goddess there as well, the mood will be social. Your love life or personal relations will be on the calendar, adding to the mix. The fun begins with the Full Moon in Gemini on Dec 2, as life with friends or groups sparks vivid excitement or interest. Someone you know will be jumping up and down, or some new ball will be firing back and forth across the net. An important communication will alter the picture. Dec 4 favours meetings or deals, especially if authorities or formal situations feature.

Watch the atmosphere at work, or with a health issue, as Mercury enters Capricorn on Dec 5, crossing obstructive Pluto and squaring stern Saturn. You'll hit a block or obstruction and have to do the hard yards. Negotiate as best you can, but 'no' will mean 'no'. On Dec 7, a change or stimulating interest from someone close will open a door, or reveal a new direction. Watch with interest!

Lifestyle and love or money make a poor mix on Dec 14. If someone's upset or you've overdone it, let the dust settle, then sort it. Dec 16 brings a New Moon in Sagittarius that puts lifestyle or romance back on track. Don't get lost in doing what others expect; just do what you want to do for the best.

Dec 20 opens the door to topsy-turvy land as social or financial matters hit a spin and Mars reverses in your sign. Expect frustrations or delays with your efforts, or testy dealings in close relations. Don't be blunt or impatient; ease through the squeeze or the block. If others drifting out of reach seem overly fascinating, take it with a grain of salt. Dec 21 brings the Solstice and the Sun to Capricorn, focusing on the cut and thrust of daily routine. If it's not working, end it! If you need a charge or a change, put it in place.

The run to Christmas Day will be coloured by Mercury's reversal on Dec 26 and the clash of Venus, Pluto and Saturn on Dec 28. Accept delay or restriction with grace and don't indulge or your health will pay a cost at the New Moon and Lunar Eclipse on New Years Eve. The air is feisty, but calm responses are best.

Mercury Retrograde

Dec 5 sees Mercury in Capricorn, crossing swords with obstructive Pluto and stern Saturn in a square. Deal straight from the top and make the tough or needful decision. If you clash or seek to break restraints, you'll close a door. Someone near and dear can guide you through a process, but reality will nonetheless have its bite. Useful contacts come on Dec 24, but avoid major decisions as the picture changes when Mercury reverses on Dec 26. Review your options and don't blow your stack. Read more on Mercury Retrograde!

Party Time

You'll feel an urge for fun, romance and Christmas drinks, but you'll need to be careful not to spend energy or money like a sailor home from the sea. Enjoy the best of diverse dining and companionship, but keep a weather eye on where your life is going and what you want from it: romantically, socially or fiscally. Observe the big picture too, but the little details will rise up and test you on Dec 25, as Venus the goddess enters Capricorn. Delay or restriction will be part and parcel of your presence, so make an end to what does not serve and work with what you have. Change is in the wind, so let the wind blow till you know where you stand.

Mars Retrograde

Mars is in your sign for a long stay, Leo. You will have a reverse motion cycle to ride out from Dec 20, while cultivating calm and patience as you deal with hiccoughs, delays or glitches. If someone or something gets in the way, don't charge ahead or you'll end up blunt, impatient and treading on toes. Tensions or frustrations will rise, due to problems or gaps in close relations. You'll deal with a feisty male; prepare for issues with sex or vigorous action. The physical will undergo a change of state or cycle. Don't transfer anger or let fiery feeling build without release.
