begins, conjoining with Pluto, lord of the underworld, and

be an active year, with communications and social interaction
on the agenda. For some there will be business ideas in abundance
and a busy working environment. For others there may be education,
learning or travel, bringing powerful encounters in the realm
of the mind or on the road. Some may embrace new beliefs,

new ways of communicating or new systems of knowledge. New

begins, there may be a busy social calendar and shared activities
with your partner. Your partner may lead the way or introduce
you to new connections. You may become more interested or
involved with their ideas or interests. Study, travel overseas
and connections with people of other cultures may play a
part in this. Singles will also have a busy schedule, one
that may bring romance. Look for the important encounter

Jupiter moves into Scorpio and your solar second house on
October 26th. Get out the budget and do some revision. Balance
the books and make sure you understand your money situation.
Some of you will want to broaden your financial base through
investment or importance purchases. Others may seek to change
or transform the income base. Use expert advice. Get rid
of distractions and concentrate on what's important. Opportunity
may come for some of you but it will bring an element of
risk. Take the right chance and you will do well.
Home and Family
As the year begins, Chiron the wounded healer is in Capricorn
and your solar fourth house. This year though he comes to
the end of a long journey as he moves into the sign of Aquarius
and your solar fifth house from February to August. After
a brief return to Capricorn, December sees him establish
himself for the new journey. Thus, this will be a mixed
year in terms of its influences at home. You will need to
understand the past and your family history in order to
find your way forward. Spend time dealing with old situations
in order to understand the roots of your emotional patterns.
There can be a healing power in the challenges of home,
history and family if you face fears and break past patterns.
Work through any issues, giving all that is asked of you
and you will heal old wounds or lay ghosts to rest. However,
there will be signs along the way to indicate it's time
to launch out in new directions, taking command of your
life in a more potent manner. New dreams, ventures, creative

part till July when Saturn moves into Leo and your solar
eleventh house. From there, matters of success and fulfillment
of your hopes and wishes will be the important focus.
Work and Health
Revolutionary Uranus gathers momentum in Pisces and your
solar sixth house after moving there last year. Thus, the
cycle of change with regard to conditions around work, health
and daily routines continues. Some will change occupation,
moving down a new or different avenue, especially if re-training
is involved. Either you will branch out for yourself or
be pushed into change by changed circumstances. Unusual
conditions or new interests could determine where you go.
For some, care or service may become a theme while for others
there may be creative or spiritual frontiers to be crossed.
Changes at work or changed work patterns will become the

Saturn's continues his journey through Cancer and your
solar tenth house, keeping the emphasis on responsibility.
Some of you may be in a cycle of hard work as you bring
plans to fruition or maintain an arduous schedule. There
may have been promotion at the root of such change or just
an increase in workload. For others, the demands of family,
especially children or elderly folk may have brought additional
responsibility. Such developments will have impacted on
relationships or personal life and may have taken time or

your solar eleventh house. You may finally come free of
obligation to pursue important personal goals. You will
have a chance to gauge how successful your efforts in any
direction have been by the level of acceptance or acclaim
that you gain. Groups or teamwork may become a theme in
the fulfillment of your dreams and a leadership role may
fall to you. You may win the approval or acceptance of superiors,
those in authority or the general public. Remember though,
success will come to you as a measure of the effort you've
put it. As Chiron the wounded healer is moving through Aquarius
and your solar fifth house as Saturn changes sign, some
of you will move into new creative endeavours or embark
on a new cycle of activity. Others however may still struggle
to find a balance with obligations in different areas of
life. Creativity, play and healthy recreation will be important
tools on the road to success. Some of you may make a career
change and move into something radically different on the
road of life. For some, an unusual or challenging child
may come into your life. For others, a healer or creative
individual may cast some influence over your life's direction.
Mercury moves into retrograde (reverse) motion three times
a year for about three weeks each time. This phase heralds
a time of confusion and misunderstandings that can affect
arrangements, travel, transport, appliances, machinery and
communications. The breakdowns that occur are a function
of neglect, inattention, simple misunderstandings or component
failure. They will often bring to the fore the very contingency
we should have planned for and didn't. When the retrograde
phase occurs, watch out for such possibilities as well as
putting off major decision-making or the signing of crucial
documents and agreements. We tend to miss things while Mercury
is in reverse motion and then have to come back and do them
again. A process of review in the retrograde phase can efficiently
show where problems might lie and help us with damage control

Mercury's first retrograde cycle is in Aries and your solar
seventh house. You will need to pay attention to partners
and close associates. There may be misunderstandings or
even hot words with your nearest and dearest. Take the familiar
diplomatic role and work your way through any concerns that
your partner may have. For some there may be an interrupted
cycle in communications with partners. For others there
may be downright confusion. This period begins on March
20th and ends on April 12th.
The messenger's second reverse motion cycle begins on July
23rd in the sign of Leo and your solar eleventh house. You
may receive a setback with plans or you may simply go through
a change of mind or heart about something. Review your situation
rather than making final decisions. There could be difficulty
with friends, through misunderstanding or perhaps simple
confusion. Someone may move out of your circle for a time.
Creative work or projects will need some revision. This
cycle ends on August 16th.
The final retrograde cycle begins on November 14th in Sagittarius
and your solar third house. Take care while travelling.
Avoid it altogether if you can. Travel overseas may be most
susceptible to alteration or difficulty. Double check arrangements
if you have to go ahead. Communications will be troublesome.
There may be misunderstandings or clashes of views or opinions.
Communication devices may cause difficulty. Service them
ahead of time! There could be confusion or setbacks with
business plans. Neighbours or siblings might be problematic.
The cycle ends on December 4th.
Lady Moon
Your Full Moon comes on March 25th, bringing harmony with
Venus, Mars and Chiron. This could be a joyful or romantic
time and communications or social engagements are favoured.
A creative pastime or project may come to fruition. If you're
single, you may be favoured with an encounter. If you're
in a relationship, there could be important doings or just
an old-fashioned good time. If there are troubles or troublesome
encounters, they may bring a sense of healing or closure
for past events.
Your New Moon comes with a Solar Eclipse on October 3rd.
Harmonies from Saturn and Neptune help to usher in a new
life cycle. Some of you may leave something behind or end
an involvement or connection while others may take up the
mantle of responsibility and confirm a course of action
or a commitment. Keep your dreams alive but measure the
situation by what needs to be done rather than what you
would like to happen. Friends may be a support or you may
have to lead the way for others. There may be a change with
your goals or your direction because of other obligations.
Eclipses
Eclipses of both the Sun and the Moon often indicate the
end of a cycle or a significant change in the direction
or pattern of the affairs governed by the house in which
the eclipse falls. Eclipses of the Sun may affect work,
direction and relations with people in authority. Eclipses
of the Moon may affect matters of home, family and emotions
as well as relations with women and children. Both may affect
your health.
A Solar Eclipse comes on April 8th at the New Moon in Aries
and your solar seventh house of partners and close associates.
There may be a change or an ending with those close to you.
Some may come to the end of a partnership cycle, either
romantically or in business. Others may find a break or
a separation interrupts close connections. A partner may
make a new beginning. You may have to treat someone close
in a different way.
April 24th brings a Lunar Eclipse at the Full Moon in Scorpio.
This comes in your solar second house of personal moneys
and resources. You may need to balance the budget after
a change in your financial circumstances or an unexpected
expense. Incomings and outgoings may be mismatched and you
will need to keep a tight rein on the purse strings. Make
sure your lifestyle isn't at the root of economic problems.
If you have to spend on children, try to keep it to a minimum.
The Full Moon in Aries brings a Lunar Eclipse in your solar
seventh house on October 17th. There could be a change with
close contacts or connections. There may even be something
of a fuss that goes with it. Feelings between you and a
partner may be running at a high, necessitating strong action
of some kind. Wait for the fallout before you assess what
it is that needs to be done.
Special Events
Warrior Mars is retrograde in Taurus and your solar eighth
house from October 1st until December 8th. This could institute
a period of financial revue. You may have to look in particular
at joint finances. The credit card and the overdraft will
need attention. You may have to change spending patterns
or make spending decisions about what's an important budget
item and what's not. Don't commit to extravagant expenses
or major financial undertakings either before or during
this time for there could be unexpected developments that
change the picture, especially in early November. Coming
back to a view of what's necessary will be the great problem
solver. Some may lose a valuable possession or have to do
without it while others might have to tighten their belts.
This is a management period and you can come through it
in good shape if you simply follow the behest of necessity
