    The Solstice Cometh

With the Sun in Sagittarius, you can coast along, watching what's happening and getting the picture from the observer's point of view. There are things brewing but it's not time to play your hand. Use the New Moon in Sagittarius on Dec 1st to embrace a sense of faith or hidden purpose. Enjoy creative or spiritual interests. The scene is set for development later on. Jupiter in Scorpio has pushed you into an expansive cycle with your friends, hopes and wishes. However, the Lord of Fortune's opposition to retrograde Mars could make you inclined to overdo it.

Chiron's return to Aquarius on Dec 5th will get you thinking about money or handling it in a different way. If you've been overly impatient about moving ahead, that feeling should subside after Dec 9th when Mars moves forward. Spending and financial interests, your hopes and lifestyle will all be under pressure for change or paradigm shift as a grand cross involving Mars, Jupiter, Neptune and Saturn forms in the Heavens to take us through the gate of 2006. The Full Moon in Gemini on Dec 15th may create a bit of a ruckus with work or health. Unexpected events or news may change the picture. Be careful with appliances and work-related travel.

The Sun moves to your sign at the Solstice on Dec 20th. Happy birthday, Capricorn! Set your course for the year ahead. Put your dreams in motion at the New Moon in your sign on New Year's Eve.

    Retracing Your Steps
Mercury is in reverse in Scorpio. There may be a review with friends or goals. You may discuss plans in a supportive environment. You may disagree with friends or associates over which direction to take. The messenger moves forward on Dec 4th, easing tension and showing the way ahead. However, he returns to Sagittarius on Dec 11th, counselling caution and drawing you within. Reflect. Listen. Communications may be testing or confusing. There may be inspiration or a change of thinking at the Full Moon on Dec 15th. Read more on Mercury Retrograde!
    It's About You
With Venus the goddess in your sign, it's time to shop, socialize, enjoy a bit of nurture and dally with your favourite. Things will come without effort if you let them. The goddess moves to practical mode as she enters Aquarius on Dec 14th, joining Chiron. Focus on the dollars. How you handle money personally will contribute to your grasp of the wider world of finance. You may deal with interesting or unusual people over money. You may have a change of approach or a new idea about working with or for money. Venus moves into reverse on Dec 23rd. You may return to old ground, deal with past associates or withdraw from financial activity for a time. An old debt may need paying. Read more on Venus Retrograde!
    Setting Your Course
Warrior Mars has been in reverse in Taurus, testing you about what you want and how you want to live. Romance, speculative ventures, children (especially males or firstborn) may have brought frustration. You may have returned to past arenas. Creative or leisure activities may have featured. Accidents with sport or recreation may have been a problem. On Dec 9th, Mars moves forward, picking up momentum and showing the way ahead. You may have learned that you can't get something moving just because you throw money or energy at it. 'Need not want' is the guideline to follow. Be persistent. Set out determinedly, mid month. Weigh the advice of others against your judgement and then decide. Read more on Mars Retrograde!
