Friends in the Frame

With the Sun in Libra, action with friends, groups or the community is in the frame and set to become more important in the passage of the year. First up though, Oct 4 brings a hitch or a glitch in the balance of home and professional life, but also sets a Full Moon ablaze in Aries, charging your house of romance and recreation with fiery enthusiasm or strong emotion. Children, loved ones or you yourself will be excitable or upset, and a gathering or a family event is in the wind. Meetings, decisions or a serious or critical authority will feature on Oct 7, but there'll be an air of unease or uncertainty. The unexpected or 'out of character' responses will colour Oct 9 and you'll find you're pushed to deal with a past matter, a compelling situation. Something demanding, or someone beyond your control, will play a part.

Strong decisions or testing talk will come on Oct 10, as Mercury rolls into Libra in hard aspect to underworld Pluto. Draw what's needed from the wider group of friends or the community, but keep an eye on the risk of accident, or argument. If you're changing course, opening one door will close another. Midmonth, direct your effort by means of plans, rules and consultation with authority. Secret schemes or influences will come into play. The cycle of communications or travel will begin to advance as Jupiter moves forward on Oct 13, though prepare for some hiatus or delay with career concerns or other responsibility.

Oct 14 intensifies dealings with groups or friends as Venus rolls into Libra, sideswiping Pluto and causing all manner of drama with the dynamics of love or money. Transforming change is written into the script. The big picture (or a far horizon) calls you to action from Oct 16, bringing a new phase in your life with friends or groups, one that, by its nature, edits an old connection as you look to a New Moon in Libra Oct 18. A step back or a look inwards comes as the Sun rolls into Libra on Oct 23, followed by Mercury on Oct 28. The dealings of fortune or opportunity are the garb for a journey to the inner world of the creative, the spiritual and the hidden. Welcome Halloween with a salute to Saturn as he rolls into Libra on Oct 30, shifting the bar with friends, groups and your goals or direction.

Turn in the Road

Mercury will test you this month, beginning in Virgo and reclaiming the retrograde ground. Be ready for changes, tough calls and practical demands until he hits Libra on Oct 10, clashing with Pluto. Take one course and end another. Deal with the drama of defining decisions and strong communications. Luck or ease will play a hand in your exchanges on Oct 20, then the messenger dives deep into Scorpio and your solar twelfth house, opening doors on creative or spiritual interests, but revealing secrets or hidden matters. Ruminate on money or income.

The Cost of Things

Organize social calendar and personal relations to fit timetables or demands. You'll deal with methodical or straightforward people with Venus in Virgo. The unexpected comes on Oct 9 and the constraint of waiting will follow on Oct 13. The next day sees Venus in Libra, sideswiping Pluto, bringing potent connections with friends or groups, but drama over love or money and radical surgery with aims or interests. Navigate the testing seas of intense or dramatic situations until you reach the easier currents of fortune (or opportunity!) as the month ends.

You'll begin with the thrust of Mars in Cancer, striving hard, overdoing or pushing boundaries as you seek to surge ahead - or fight against a rising tide. Keep a sense of proportion, especially in the matter of what 'is' and 'is not' possible or achievable. The boudoir can be an outlet for frustration or restlessness, as can extreme activity. Don't use spending as a solution and don't draw pistols or cross swords over family or joint monies. You can breathe fresh air, or take in a tasty dish, as Mars rollicks into Leo on Oct 16. Enjoy a laugh, a fresh horizon, or a journey.
