Friends, Hopes, Wishes

Happy New Year, Pisces! With the Sun in Capricorn, the focus is on friends and your hopes and wishes for the future. This is a period in which you may somehow or other revise the plans you have or come back to old contacts and old dreams to see if they're workable or offer what you want. Communications are important as the month begins. There may be unexpected calls or contacts. Someone from the past may come back into your thoughts or into your life. Such a connection could be a friendship or an old romance. Overseas links may be involved. Shared endeavours, activities or dreams may come back with them, causing you to wonder about the way you need to go right now.

The Full Moon in Cancer on Jan 14th may bring many of these issues or connections up for review. Children or family matters may be involved. Work or life direction may be an issue for concern. Look back over your goals, endeavours and contacts in the past and measure them against where you are in the present. It's time to decide what's really important and make a defining decision. Work practices and methods, inner development, study, travel and the activities you want to pursue; all these need to be considered in order to set your life on the track that you want. To open one door is to close another. You will need to lay something you do or something you believe yourself to be to rest in order to set a new path. Pass through a doorway.

The Sun moves to Aquarius on Jan 20th, pulling you inwards and urging you to wait, reflect and make changes behind the scenes or at an inner level. Come a New Moon in Aquarius on Jan 29th, set a new pattern for your creative and spiritual direction. Start small. Build!

A Lot of Talk

Mercury the messenger enters Capricorn on Jan 3rd, bringing contact and communications with friends and the discussion of ideas or possibilities for the future. Review the situation. Expect new or original thoughts or contacts from far away in the lead up to the Full Moon on Jan 14th. The unexpected, either from within or without, might blow you away with a possibility or development. Mercury moves to Aquarius on Jan 22nd, drawing you inward to creative or spiritual endeavours. Undertake new skills or new learning. If there are health problems, go deep inside to see what's wrong spiritually. You'll find your healing there.

An Old Road

Venus the goddess moves in reverse motion in Capricorn on Jan 1st, remaining there for the balance of the month. Old friends or connections may come back into your life. Old romance may be renewed for some. Old dreams may live again for others. Review your life direction. Clarify what's important. Stand with those who share your dreams.

Mobility Improves

Warrior Mars surges through Taurus, set to end his long and sometimes arduous journey there. You may have found obstruction, delay, difficulty or difficult people in travel, daily movement, education or business. These will begin to clear now but it will be important to make decisions about what you actually want to do instead of what you feel you have to do. You will be called to new learning, new skills and a new way of living. If you resist, life will simply push you into the new directions anyway. It's time to open the doors on a new way of communicating with the world. You're the one who needs to take action to put the 'new' in motion. Break the hold that old attitudes or fears may have over you. Step up.
