    More on Leo, the Lion
    Working Routines, Health, Colleagues
Happy New Year, Leo! The influences for January and the coming year ask you to set your direction, personally and professionally. Take the load, keep loved ones happy, claim authority and expand your domestic or emotional life. And, if you can keep all that on the go, you can find time for fun as well, though that may come later on.

In the meantime, the Sun is in Capricorn, putting your focus on the daily business of life with regard to both work and health. The Full Moon on Jan 14th may test you. There could be minor health matters to deal with. You may be fatigued. A situation or an individual you thought you had dealt with may come back to trouble you. Watch dealings with co-workers. Many things may seem possible at this time but not everything will work as you imagine or as others promise. Pace yourself. You may need to make a strong commitment, especially financially. There'll be no turning back! Be careful and clear in dealings with authority and with close associates at this time. Don't allow misunderstandings or emotional indulgence to develop.

The Sun moves to Aquarius on Jan 20th, shifting attention to dealings with partners and close associates. Listen closely to what others have to say. Take their thoughts or feelings into account. Someone close may be going through changes or needing to do things in a different way. The New Moon in Aquarius on Jan 29th sets a new phase of partnership in motion.
    The Analytical Mind
Mercury the messenger moves to Capricorn on Jan 3rd. This focuses on work, health and daily routines. There will be discussion or negotiation that may bear on conditions at work or relations with co-workers. You may find a change or improvement in your situation, especially in the second week. You may sort out a long term problem or issue. You may come to a new accommodation with domestic and working life. For some, there may be a link between work and emotional life.

Mercury moves to Aquarius on Jan 22nd, focusing on communications with partners or close associates. There may be important changes to discuss with someone close. These may affect the structure or pattern of your life.
    Working Review
Venus the goddess moves in reverse in Capricorn from Jan 1st, urging you to review your work situation and perhaps re-negotiate conditions. You may have to deal with old matter or past contacts from work. A money matter you have put in place with work may need re-examination. You may have to go over old ground to get what you want. You may need to deal with a difficult co-worker. The third and last weeks are best favoured for solutions.
    Straight Ahead
Warrior Mars drives ahead in Taurus and your solar tenth house, readying himself to end his lengthy stay. You may want to confirm or consolidate advances you've made with professional matters or dealings with authority. You'll need to keep your wits about you.

Work on the balance of home and professional life till Jan 12th. Contractual matters may be involved. Keep things in proportion. Don't let misrepresentation or deceit influence you. Don't get in over your head. Be careful and perceptive with partners or close associates after that. Watch that others understand what they're doing and keep their commitments. It's important to follow through with the responsibilities or obligations you said you'd take on. If you go straight ahead, not indulging or distracted by side issues, you'll win through.
